There is a tradition in Turkey that when someone dies, the family members put their shoes in front of the house's outer door. People passing by would then know that someone had died at that apartment. This very personal series is trying to express the feeling of losing someone and how the image of a couple of shoes can make you experience the feeling of mourning.
